반면 조선시대 말기, 청화백자가 유행하던 시기의 관서 지방 해주 항아리는 사기로 만들어진 것이 특징이다.
하얀 바탕에 물고기, 목단 꽃무늬, 누각 등의 그림으로 장식된 독특한 형태를 지니며, 제작 방식 또한 청화백자의 영향을 받은 것으로 보인다.

풍족했던 평야 지역의 특성상 곡식을 저장하기 위한 큰 단지 형태로 만들어졌다.

Haeju Jar

The Haeju Jar is a ceramic jar developed in the Haeju region of Hwanghae Province.

Korean jars and storage vessels vary in shape and design depending on the region, and most were made of earthenware or Onggi.

In contrast, the Haeju jars from the Gwanseo region during the late Joseon Dynasty, when blue-and-white porcelain was popular, are notable for being made of porcelain.
They feature a unique design decorated with motifs such as fish, peonies, and pavilions on a white background

 and their production methods appear to have been influenced by blue-and-white porcelain.

Due to the fertile plains of the region, they were made in the form of large containers for storing grains.
