소나무나 잣나무에서 분비되는 끈적한 액체, 송진을 받아내는 항아리이다.
나무를 항아리 안에 쌓아 놓고 위에서 불을 붙이면 나무가 타면서 송진이 바닥으로 흘러내린다.
몸체와 바닥 부분에 뚫린 작은 구멍을 통해 송진을 채취할 수 있었다.
Songjin-dok (Pine Resin Jar)
This jar was used to collect the sticky resin secreted from pine or nut pine trees.
Wood was stacked inside the jar and burned from above, causing the resin to flow to the bottom.
The resin could be collected through small holes in the body and bottom of the jar.
