버선 문양이 그려진 항아리이다.
버선에는 여러 가지 의미가 있는데, 항아리 안에 담긴 장맛이 변하더라도 다시 본래의 맛으로 되돌아오라는 의미가 있고,
항아리 안의 음식은 집안 식구만 먹는 귀한 것이므로 아무나 함부로 접근하지 말라는 의미도 있다.
또한, 항아리가 놓인 장독대 주변에는 벌레가 많아, 벌레를 밟아 죽이라는 의미로 버선 문양을 붙이기도 했다.
특히 흰색 버선 문양은 햇빛을 반사하여 실제로 벌레의 접근을 막는 기능도 했다.

This is a jar decorated with a beoseon (traditional Korean sock) pattern.
The beoseon pattern carries several symbolic meanings: it represents the hope that the flavor of the food inside the jar will return to its original taste even if it changes,
and it signals that the food inside is precious and meant only for family members, warning others not to touch it.
Additionally, because many insects are found near the jar stand, the beoseon pattern was also added as a symbolic way to “step on and kill” the insects.
White beoseon patterns, in particular, reflect sunlight, helping to physically deter insects from approaching.
