업단지
업단지는 ‘업신’을 모시는 단지로, 햇곡식을 담아 부엌 창 아래에 두었다.
양쪽 손잡이 밑에는 작은 구멍 두 개를 뚫어 업신이 자유롭게 드나들 수 있도록 했다.
구렁이와 두꺼비 등이 겨울잠을 잘 수 있도록 배려한 뜻에서'뱀항아리'라고도 불린다.
Eop Danji (Eopshin Jar)
Eop Danji is a jar dedicated to “Eopshin” and was placed under the kitchen window to store newly harvested grains.
Two small holes were made under the handles so that Eopshin could move freely in and out.
It is also called the “Snake Jar,” reflecting the belief that snakes and toads could hibernate safely inside.
