서울과 경기도의 옹기는 전체적으로 높이에 비해 폭이 좁고 날씬한 형태를 띤다.
입과 바닥의 너비가 비슷하며, 전 (입구 부분)은 낮고 넓은 모양이다.
전 (입구 부분)이 낮아 목이 없으며, 다른 지역의 옹기와 비교해 입구가 크고 몸통과 거의 같은 너비를 가진 것이 특징이다.
